These birds are best of all birds for the first time
bird owner. Very hardy birds and inexpensive but has the personality of
any big parrot that one
could ask for. Males are the vocal ones. If you want a cockatiel that will
talk & whistle, then get a male. Females will not talk and are quieter
than
the males but their personality are the same.
They have their own size of cage if you go to a pet store. Just ask
for a cockatiel cage. Owning one of these birds is a joy. They are also
great for
handfeeders to learn to handfeed on. The babies are easy to feed and quite
hardy. Given a good diet and care, they can live to 20+ years.
