My first macaw was a blue and gold and I still have him today. Such clowns
they are. The have an excellent talking ability and will do anything
to get your attention.
They are big size birds although not one of the largest macaws.
They reach 35-36 inches in length and need a good size macaw cage. Mine
plays with toys all the time so keep them well supplied with toys and
other things to keep them busy. They can live 60+ some years.
Babies are adorable and one of the sweetest to handfeed. They literally
talk to you in their own voices to communicate with you while you're
feeding them. So sweet!
